One Book
One-School One-Book was first launched in Canada, right here in Lethbridge, almost 11 years ago (April 2007) at Dr. Probe School and since then many of our schools have participated in a One-School One-Book Project or a Multi-school One-book project. It has been the joy of the staff and students to engage in a reading activity that unites their community around a common theme, common characters, and a common story.
We are now planning to take the One-School One-Book concept a giant step forward. We propose to run a One-District-One Book in March of 2019!
As Lethbridge School District No. 51 continues to grow and add new schools, staff, and students, our wish is that we can use this project as an opportunity to connect all schools, all families, all staff members, and most importantly all students in a shared reading experience.
